Student Transportation
Kerman Unified School District provides transportation for students who live in excess of an established bus radius distance based on their grade level. Board Policy 3541 and AR 3541 state the bus radius distance from school must be beyond 1.0 mile for grades TK-6 and 1.5 miles for grades 7-8 and 2.0 miles for grades 9-12. Click on the name of a school below to view a map of the bus radius distance for that school. Students who meet the eligibility criteria to ride a bus to and from school and would like to utilize transportation services must adhere to the following:
Arrive at the bus stop five-ten minutes before the scheduled leave time.
Wait for the bus in a safe place.
Wait until the bus is completely stopped, enter the bus in an orderly manner and take a seat.
Be courteous to the school bus driver and fellow passengers.
Each student shall board or exit the school bus only at the student’s “authorized” bus stop.
Bus Rules of Conduct
ALL KUSD AND SCHOOL RULES, INCLUDING BUS REGULATIONS, APPLY WHILE ON/NEAR A SCHOOL BUS!
Fighting (physical contact), fighting (verbal altercation), threatening behavior and/or harassment, of any kind is prohibited.
Weapons, smoking, laser pens, drugs or alcohol are forbidden on or near a school bus.
Cross the street in front of the bus and only under the supervision of your bus driver.
Follow the instructions of your bus driver at all times.
Students are to remain seated and facing the front of the bus while the bus is in motion.
Keep your arms and head inside the bus at all times.
Profanity, indecent language, and/or obscene gestures are prohibited.
Any property defaced or destroyed on the school bus will be paid by the student and/or the parent/guardian.
Eating, drinking, and chewing gum are prohibited, including spitting or throwing objects on the bus or out the windows.
Loud or boisterous noises, singing or whistling will not be permitted.
