The following procedures will be used in the Kerman Unified School District on extremely foggy days.

1. A decision will be made by 6:00 a.m. as to whether or not the departure time of buses must be delayed (exception would be if there is a change of visibility before buses leave).

2. If departure times of school buses must be delayed, an announcement will be made on KVPT TV, Local Channels 18, 24, 26, 30, 47, and ParentSquare. There will be continuous broadcasting on these channels.

3. There are three different plans for our FOGGY DAY SCHEDULE.

Plan A: School Buses delayed two hours. Classes will start on time.

Plan B: School Buses delayed additional one and half hours, total three and half hours delayed. Classes start on time.

Plan C: All AM buses canceled. School is in session. Unless an additional announcement is made, afternoon bus runs will operate on a regular schedule.

The bus stop times are calculated by taking the regular bus stop time and adding the appropriate amount of delay time. (Example: If the regular bus stop time is 6:45, for a Plan A Fog Schedule the bus stop time would be 8:45. If the schedule went to Plan B, the bus stop time would then be 10:15.)
