About the Department
The Business Services Department plays a critical role in managing the financial, operational, and logistical aspects of the district’s operations. This department ensures that resources are used efficiently and that the district's fiscal health remains strong. Key responsibilities of the Business Services Department include:
Creating and managing the district's annual budget, including forecasting revenues and expenditures, and ensuring financial resources are allocated in alignment with district priorities.
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Overseeing the purchase of goods and services, managing contracts, and compliant with policies.
Ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for district employees.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks to the district, safety protocols, and liability.
Administering and tracking district grants and other external funding sources.
Providing data analysis and reports to district leadership, helping inform decision-making on resource allocation and financial strategy.
