About the Department

The Educational Services Department is focused on supporting and enhancing the academic experience for all students. This department works to ensure that curriculum, instruction, and educational programs align with district goals and meet the diverse needs of students. It plays a key role in professional development, educational technology integration, and fostering a positive learning environment. Key responsibilities of the Educational Services Department include:

  • Designing and implementing a rigorous, standards-based curriculum that is aligned with state and national education standards and supports a wide range of learning needs.

  • Providing ongoing training and professional learning opportunities for teachers and staff to enhance instructional practices, integrate new technologies, and stay updated on best practices in education.

  • Overseeing the administration of assessments, analyzing student performance data, and using the data to guide instructional decisions, interventions, and improvements in teaching strategies.

  • Ensuring the delivery of services to students with disabilities, including individualized education programs (IEPs), support services, and compliance with special education laws and regulations.

  • Developing programs and interventions to support students whose first language is not English, helping them achieve language proficiency and academic success.

  • Implementing and coordinating support programs such as tutoring, after-school programs, and summer school to help students who are struggling academically.

  • Supporting the use of technology in the classroom to enhance learning experiences, improve student engagement, and prepare students for the digital world.

  • Providing a range of services that support students' social, emotional, and academic well-being, including guidance counseling, college and career readiness programs, and extracurricular enrichment opportunities.
