Leadership Structure

In Kerman Unified School District, the organizational structure is designed to ensure effective management and oversight of educational programs and services. At the top of this hierarchy is the Superintendent, who serves as the chief executive officer of the district. The Superintendent is responsible for overall district administration, setting educational goals, and implementing policies. Directly supporting the Superintendent are the Assistant Superintendents, who often oversee specific areas such as curriculum and instruction, human resources, and fiscal/business services. Each Assistant Superintendent manages their respective departments, ensuring that district-wide initiatives are effectively carried out and that schools receive the necessary support.

Beneath the Assistant Superintendents are the Directors, Coordinators and Managers who handle specialized functions within their departments, such as special education, facilities management, or technology. They work closely with the Assistant Superintendents to implement policies and manage day-to-day operations. At the school level, each school is led by a Principal, who is responsible for the administration of their individual school, including staff management, student performance, and community relations. Supporting the Principal are Assistant Principals, who help manage the school's operations, discipline, and academic programs and Learning Directors and Counselors. This tiered structure ensures a clear line of authority and communication, facilitating both strategic planning and operational efficiency across the district.

The Fiscal/Business Division oversees the business, operational, and facilities aspects of the district. Fiscal/Business works collaboratively to plan, direct, administer and manage the administrative affairs of the District.  Fiscal/Business is responsible for the long-range planning to ensure the success and stability of the district.

The Human Resources (HR) Division is a crucial department within our organization that oversees a wide range of functions essential to maintaining a productive and harmonious workplace. HR is responsible for recruiting, hiring new employees, ensuring that we attract and retain top educators. They handle employee relations, address workplace conflicts, and enforce company policies to foster a positive work environment.

The Educational Services Division encompasses a broad range of activities and support systems aimed at enhancing and facilitating learning and academic development. Educational Services also involves the creation and implementation of educational programs, professional development for educators, and the integration of innovative teaching methods and technologies. It aims to ensure that educational environments are conducive to learning, that students receive appropriate guidance and resources, and that educational standards are met.
